The Deport ICE campaign seeks to strengthen sanctuary protections by adding explicit non-cooperation clauses to municipal policy and severing vendors who service ICE surveillance and deportation programs from municipal contracts.
Among other Deport ICE activities, the City of Oakland passed a broad non-cooperation ordinance in January of 2018 following an ICE raid in West Oakland in August of 2017, and the City of Richmond ended a contract with ICE data broker Vigilant Solutions, now a division of Motorola Corporation.
